BACKSTORY: A couple of days ago my wife was reading from her Kindle and stopped to ask if I knew of the photographer Nadar, mentioned in her book about the Catacombs of Paris. Of course, I said, and went to my library shelves to find something on Nadar for her to see. After we looked at one of his self-portraits, I remembered that I might have a self-portrait of my own as a point of comparison. And here we are.

Coming up: Me and Pablo …

Already seen: Me and Marcel …

Not to mention: Me and Edward

Or: Me and Vincent
