Exploring The Archives

In my gradual quest to review the 70,000 – 80,000 black & white negatives — of which the overwhelming, vast majority have never been printed or even inspected closely — in my basement storage, I randomly delve into some to see what I can find.  Today, these from 1975, taken in the San Pedro seaside area of Los Angeles:

Photogrammar

Photogrammar is a Yale online project site for organizing, searching, and visualizing the 170,000 photographs from 1935 to 1945 created by the United States Farm Security Administration and Office of War Information (FSA-OWI).  In just a quick search in my region, I find hundreds and hundreds of photographs taken by legendary Dorothea Lange, for example, such as this one:
