Duane in Arizona (1972)

Old friend Duane (also see him here) visits me in the White Mountains of Arizona, traveling from Iowa on a lark and defying the weather with his fin-tail Mercedes.  Here we have breakfast at a small cafe in the small town of Pinetop.  Impulse travel was always characteristic of Duane, including hitchhiking from college in Iowa to see Mardi Gras in New Orleans, circa 1961 (I was invited but I deferred to school commitments).
